Andy Lockley is one of the driving forces behind Grey’s phenomenal creative renaissance, the most awarded period in the agency’s 100 year history. He has been involved in most of the work that has earned over 40 Cannes Lions. Helping brands large and small contribute to pop culture with extraordinary objects, experiences, behaviours and services. As one of Grey’s most experienced creative leaders, Andy oversees creative work in the London office and also sits on the Grey Global Creative Council, a hand picked group of ECDs tasked with promoting creative excellence and championing world class work across the network. In Grey’s recently created role of 'Executive Creative Director of Content', Andy has a specific remit to do drive world class storytelling craft across all channels. Outside of the agency Andy shoots stills, plays rugby, geeks out on horology, consumes huge quantities of non-fiction and tries to make everyday choices that have minimal impact on the environment and other people.



Andy landed his first major creative award (a yellow D&AD pencil) before he’d landed his first job. He was still at ad school. A year later, having just turned 21, he became the youngest person ever to judge D&AD, a record that holds to this day. He went on to help found industry changing agency St.Lukes. He was ECD at one of the most awarded agencies in the Southern Hemisphere, Publicis Mojo New Zealand. After successful stints at HHCL&Partners, TBWA and FALLON, he became founding partner and CCO of the London office of Dentsu.

Andy is a regular judge at major UK shows, including D&AD, BTTA & Creative Circle (often as Jury Foreman). He was one of four founding members of the D&AD Regional Council and has has been a keynote speaker for D&AD & IPA. His work has been recognised at most major creative award shows over the last 20 plus years. Whilst at Grey Andy completed a master class in digital and interactive communication at Stockholm's Hyper Island.
